So it hadn't been very long since Veronica joined up with this kid that had come out of Goodsprings - she was rather glad that Elle had come back after their initial meeting, actually. She seemed like a decent person, from what Veronica could tell. They'd gotten along fairly well in their initial meeting conversation, but Veronica didn't want to intrude on them. Because Boone was scary.

However, things seemed a little off, now that they'd actually started traveling. Maybe it was just Veronica's imagination, but it seemed like the Courier wasn't as talkative as before. It was gnawing at her, and curiosity ran high, but she managed to wait until they'd stopped for the night...
